Prologue
Quite a lot of people are interested in cars. Some of them are interested in classic automobiles. But where does this fascination come from? It is not only about the car's age and the quite mindblowing mechanics of the earlier days. And it is not always sentimentality. I guess very few readers of this blog have driven a pre-war car as a daily driver in their youth. No, often it is about beauty. Like so many times in life. Concerning a classic car it is mainly the aesthetics of its coachwork and a small detail. Sometimes unobtrusively, sometimes dominant element. Sometimes accessory and sometimes compulsory corporative design: car mascots!

With this website I like to share my passion for car mascots with other enthusiasts. In the course of the last 20 years I have collected a lot of information about car mascots and as a passionate collector I will also find new information once in a while. The main purpose of this website is to provide a platform to publish and discuss interesting aspects covering the subject of car mascots, with a focus on unpublished information. More than 100 years after the appearance of the first car mascots there is still a lot to discover.
